Marine-Grade M24 M27 Stainless Steel Hex Fasteners – Long-Lasting
Strength with SS316L Protection
Product Description:
It focuses on the marine-grade quality of the M24 and M27 hex fasteners, emphasizing their suitability for environments that demand high resistance to saltwater and harsh weather. SS316L stainless steel’s anti-corrosive properties ensure long-lasting performance even in the most demanding maritime applications, such as shipbuilding, offshore platforms, and dockside infrastructure. The set’s hex design allows for easy installation with standard tools, while the durability of the SS316L material ensures these fasteners will maintain their strength and functionality for years, preventing costly repairs and replacements in marine applications.
Material and Corrosion Resistance
The A4-70 grade designation in this headline refers to a high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel composition, ensuring these fasteners perform well in challenging environments. The M24 and M27 bolts, nuts, and washers have been designed to withstand mechanical stress, making them suitable for heavy-duty structural and industrial applications. Their high tensile strength (700 MPa yield strength) means they can bear significant loads without failure, making them perfect for critical installations, especially in extreme conditions like offshore rigs or chemical plants where both strength and durability are essential.
Applications
316L is a stainless steel grade, belonging to the American ASTM
standard system, corresponding to the Chinese GB standard system in
the grade 022Cr17Ni12Mo2, unified numerical code for S31603.
Stainless steel is a general term for steel with a certain chemical
stability in the atmosphere, water, acids, alkalis and salts and
other solutions or other corrosive media. In stainless steel,
stainless steel and corrosion resistance plays a key role is the
alloying element chromium, with the increase of chromium content,
its stainless steel and corrosion resistance also increased.
Stainless steel according to different organisational structures,
divided into austenitic, austenitic + ferrite type, ferrite type,
martensitic and precipitation hardening type stainless steel five
categories.
316L stainless steel belongs to the austenitic stainless steel.
Austenitic stainless steel organisational structure is face-centred
cubic lattice, non-magnetic, can not be strengthened by heat
treatment, can only be used to improve its strength by means of
cold-worked strengthening. Austenitic stainless steel has corrosion
resistance, good plasticity and toughness at room temperature and
low temperature, easy to form, good weldability, the most widely
used in industry. Its production accounts for about 70% of the
production of stainless steel. Its products include plates, bars,
tubes, strips, wires and forgings.
316L stainless steel has good sensitised intergranular corrosion
resistance, suitable for the manufacture of thick cross-section
size of welded parts and equipment, such as petrochemical,
fertilizer, paper, printing and dyeing and nuclear industry with
equipment corrosion-resistant materials.
