SAR Laboratory
Due to the widespread popularity of radio equipment (such as mobile
phones) around the world, more and more government departments,
telecommunications regulatory agencies, etc. require that
electromagnetic wave radiation be reduced to an appropriate level.
In order to meet the urgent needs of mobile phone manufacturers,
the lcs laboratory has introduced the mobile phone electromagnetic
wave energy absorption rate (SAR) test system of the British SATIMO
company. This test system fully complies with the SAR standard
requirements of IEEE/IEC/EN and the United States ANSI. It has the
characteristics of fast, accurate, safe and efficient. It is also
the most widely used and widely recognized SAR test system in the
world's top laboratories. The test frequency range of this system
reaches 6GHz, and it can perform certification tests on multiple
types of products (not limited to mobile phones) such as GSM, CDMA,
WLAN, etc.
With the development of information technology and manufacturing
industry, while people enjoy the convenience brought by wireless
communication devices, they are also increasingly concerned about
the impact of electromagnetic radiation from wireless communication
terminals on human health;
Governments of various countries have always attached great
importance to this indicator of wireless communication terminals;
Europe, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South
Korea and Taiwan have all formulated relevant directives, technical
regulations and mandatory standards for radio frequency and
microwave radiation management in their regions or countries;
Many countries, including China, have required mobile user terminal
manufacturers to indicate SAR-related technical indicators and user
guidelines in product packaging and/or instructions.
★ Specific Absorption Rate SAR
Definition of SAR: Under the action of external electromagnetic fields, an induced electromagnetic field will be generated in the human body. Since various organs of the human body are lossy media, the electromagnetic field in the body will generate current, resulting in the absorption and dissipation of electromagnetic energy. SAR is often used in biodosimetry to characterize this physical process.
The meaning of SAR is the electromagnetic power absorbed or
consumed by a unit mass of human tissue, in units of W/kg. It can
also be expressed as: the differential value of the energy (dW)
absorbed (dissipated) by the mass (dm) in the volume (dV) of a
given density (ρ) with respect to time is the SAR, which is
expressed as follows:
SAR can also be obtained using any of the following formulas:
Where: SAR -- specific absorption rate, in W/kg;
E -- Rms value of the electric field strength in the tissue, in
V/m;
σ-- dielectric conductivity, in S/m;
ρ;
-- specific heat capacity of the tissue, in J/kg and K;
-- time derivative of the initial temperature of the tissue cells,
in K/s
