Theory

The excavator slewing motor is one of the key components of the excavator slewing system. It is mainly responsible for driving the slewing mechanism of the excavator so that it can rotate in the horizontal direction. The following is the basic principle of the excavator slewing motor:

Hydraulic drive: The excavator slewing motor uses a hydraulic system to provide power. The hydraulic system consists of a hydraulic pump, a hydraulic oil tank, a hydraulic pipeline and a slewing motor. The hydraulic pump extracts and pressurizes the hydraulic oil from the tank, and transmits the high-pressure hydraulic oil to the slewing motor through the hydraulic pipeline, thereby driving the operation of the slewing motor.
Gear transmission: The excavator slewing motor uses gear transmission to achieve rotation. The slewing motor is usually composed of multiple gears, including a driving gear and a driven gear. The driving gear drives the driven gear to rotate through the high-pressure hydraulic oil provided by the hydraulic system, thereby realizing the rotation of the slewing motor. The size and number of teeth of the gear determine the speed and torque output of the slewing motor.
Hydraulic control: The rotation speed and direction of the excavator slewing motor can be achieved through hydraulic control. The hydraulic system is equipped with a flow control valve and a direction control valve to control the speed and direction of the slewing motor by adjusting the flow and direction of the hydraulic oil. The flow control valve is used to adjust the flow of hydraulic oil to control the speed of the motor; the direction control valve is used to change the flow direction of hydraulic oil to achieve forward and reverse rotation of the motor.
Bearing support: The gears and bearings inside the excavator swing motor are supported and maintained in relative position by the bearing system. The bearing system can reduce the friction between the gears and the shaft, and bear the radial and axial loads generated by the swing motor to ensure the stable operation of the swing motor.
Through hydraulic drive, gear transmission and hydraulic control, the excavator swing motor can achieve smooth and controllable swing motion. The appliion of its principle enables the excavator to achieve accurate rotation and positioning during work, improving work efficiency and flexibility.
