Blast furnace slag granulation insulation device
Equipment use:
This equipment is used to receive hot melt slag from blast furnace,
after heat preservation, air quenching and granulation after
release.
Equipment overview and structure:
This equipment is designed and manufactured according to
GBl0067.1-4 <Basic Technical Conditions for Electric Heating
Equipment>.
1. Stove casing.
2. Refractory.
3. Modular stove cover.
4. Electrode lifting device and copper tube type conductive cross
arm.
The electrode lifting device has the following advantages:
· The conductive transverse arm is flexible in lifting, the system
has small inertia and good rigidity;
· Simplified structure, good insulation performance and high
reliability;
· Can easily and reliably clamp and relax the electrode;
· The electrode clamping force is large, and the clamping head is
not easy to spark;
· The electrode lock is a water-cooled component, which will not
cause the electrode to slide due to thermal expansion in the high
temperature area.
5. Short-net system.
6. Hydraulic system.
7. Cooling water system.
8. Furnace body hole opener.
9. Slag inlet device.
The slag inlet device is mainly composed of a copper water-cooled
chute and a sliding device is provided at the bottom. After the
work is finished, the slag can be moved outside the oven to clean
the residue, which can effectively reduce the workload and extend
the service life of the chute.
10. Electrical equipment and control systems.
11. Hydraulic oil pump control.
12. Electrode lifting regulator system.
Key Technical Highlights: Blast Furnace Slag Granulation Insulation
Equipment
Rapid Quenching Granulation System: Adopts high-pressure water jet or air-cooled atomization
technology to achieve <0.5-second rapid solidification of molten
slag (1450-1550℃), forming glassy granules with 90%+ uniformity
(particle size 0.1-5mm) and minimal crystalization.
Intelligent Thermal Insulation Module: Integrates multi-layer refractory materials + vacuum insulation
panels, maintaining post-granulation slag temperature at 600-800℃
with <5% heat loss/hour, enabling direct heat recovery (up to
3.2 GJ/ton slag) via built-in heat exchangers.
Closed-Loop Dust Control: Equipped with negative-pressure cyclone dust collectors and wet
scrubbers, achieving <30mg/m³ particulate emissions—far below
industrial standards—while recycling 99% of water used in
granulation for cyclic reuse.
Adaptive Process Control: PLC-based system dynamically adjusts water/air flow, insulation
intensity, and conveyor speed based on real-time slag composition
(CaO/SiO₂ ratio) and discharge volume, ensuring stable granule
quality across varying blast furnace operating conditions.
- Efficient Granulation: Adopts advanced atomization/granulation technology to quickly
solidify molten blast furnace slag into uniform, small granular
slag with stable properties.
- Insulation & Energy Retention: Equipped with professional insulation systems to maintain slag
temperature during processing, facilitating subsequent resource
recycling (e.g., heat recovery, building material production).
- Environmental & Economic Value: Reduces slag waste and dust emissions, turning industrial
by-products into reusable materials while cutting energy
consumption.
