Punch air spring is an elastic element used in punching machines (such as mechanical punches, hydraulic punches, etc.), which uses the characteristics of compressed air to achieve functions such as buffering, shock absorption, support or force balance.
1. Core functions
Buffering and shock absorption: absorb the impact force and
vibration generated during the punching process to protect the mold
and equipment structure.
Force balance: balance the weight of the slider or mold and reduce
the load of the drive mechanism.
Height/pressure adjustment: change the stiffness and support height
of the spring by adjusting the air pressure to adapt to different
working conditions.
2. Working principle
By filling the airbag with compressed air, the compressibility of
the gas is used to provide elastic force. When the punch slider is
pressed down, the air spring is compressed and absorbs energy; when
returning, the stored energy is released to assist in resetting.
The greater the air pressure, the higher the spring stiffness.
3. Application scenarios
Mechanical punch: balance the weight of the slider and reduce the
motor load.
