ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) cable is a fully non-metallic fiber optic cable designed with built-in strength elements—typically aramid yarns or stranded glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) rods—embedded within its circular structure. The optical fibers are usually housed in polymer loose tubes and protected by the overall cable construction.
Designed for both distribution and transmission line environments, ADSS cable can even be installed on live power lines. As the name suggests, it requires no additional support or messenger wire, allowing for quick, single-pass installation—making it a cost-effective and efficient solution for building fiber optic networks.
