48 Core Outdoor Fiber Optic Cable – Stranded Loose Tube, Non-Metallic (GYFTY/GYTY Type)
Product Overview
This 48-core fiber optic cable is designed with 250μm fibers housed in high-strength loose tubes made of robust plastic material. Each tube is filled with moisture-resistant gel to ensure stable optical performance. At the center of the cable is a non-metallic strength member—Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP)—providing solid structural support without electromagnetic interference. The tubes and fillers are helically stranded around the core, forming a compact and well-balanced cable structure.
To safeguard the internal core, a jelly-filled polyethylene (PE) inner sheath is applied, followed by a water-blocking layer that reinforces moisture protection. For additional mechanical strength, corrugated steel tape armor is wrapped around the inner layers. Finally, a durable PE outer jacket provides environmental protection, making this cable ideal for outdoor applications.
