Describe:

Calcium stearate is White powder, insoluble in water, cold ethanol etc, soluble in organic solvents such as hot benzene, benzene and turpentine, slightly soluble in hot ethanol etc.When heated to 400℃, it will decompose slowly and be flammable. When met with strong acid, it will decompose into stearic acid and corresponding calcium salt, which has hygroscopic property.

3.Also used as a lubricant for polyolefin fibres and mouldings.
4.Used as a mould release agent, plasticizer, thickening agent for grease, waterproofing agent for textiles, smoothing agent for paint industry, etc. in rubber processing.
5.It can also be used as food additive, feed additive, cosmetics, etc.
