ASTM B111 C12200 seamless tubes are phosphorus-deoxidized copper (DHP) components renowned for exceptional thermal conductivity (~350 W/m·K), corrosion resistance in freshwater/steam environments, and high-pressure integrity due to their seamless construction. Primarily used in heat exchangers, condensers, and HVAC systems, they offer superior formability and weldability in annealed temper (O60), though velocity must be capped at 2.4 m/s to prevent erosion-corrosion. While cost-effective for non-marine applications, they are incompatible with ammonia, high chlorides, or H₂S environments, where alternatives like Cu-Ni alloys are mandated.
