Instructions for Using Rubber Air Springs
1. Installation precautions
Matching model: Make sure that the size and load capacity of the
air spring match the equipment requirements to avoid overloading or
underloading.
Correct alignment: During installation, the spring and the
connecting parts must be aligned to avoid partial wear or leakage
caused by partial load.
Protect the surface: Avoid contact with sharp objects, oil stains,
and chemicals to prevent rubber aging or mechanical damage.
Air source connection: Use special air pipes and joints to ensure
air tightness, and leak test is required after installation.
2. Operation requirements
Air pressure range: Strictly follow the working air pressure
calibrated by the manufacturer (such as 0.2~0.8MPa). Overpressure
may cause bursting, and low pressure affects the support effect.
Temperature environment: The applicable temperature is usually
-30℃~+70℃. Special rubber materials are required for extreme high
or low temperatures.
Load changes: Under dynamic loads (such as vehicle driving), the
air pressure needs to be adjusted in real time to maintain
stability.
Avoid dry friction: Check whether the parts in contact with the
spring have relative sliding friction, and add lubrication or
protective sleeves if necessary.
3. Maintenance and inspection
Regular leak detection: Apply soapy water to the air nozzle and
interface, and observe the bubbles to determine whether there is
leakage.
Rubber condition: Check whether the surface is cracked, bulged or
scratched. If it is severely aged, it needs to be replaced.
Cleaning and maintenance: Wipe the rubber surface with a neutral
detergent and avoid using organic solvents (such as gasoline and
alcohol).
Air source quality: Ensure that the compressed air is dry and
oil-free to prevent corrosion of the internal diaphragm.
4. Safety warning
No overpressure: Exceeding the maximum working air pressure may
cause explosion risk.
Emergency measures: If the spring suddenly leaks (such as vehicle
suspension), the pressure must be unloaded immediately and the
operation must be stopped.
Replacement cycle: It is recommended to replace it every 3 to 5
years or according to the manufacturer's regulations, even if the
appearance is not damaged.
5. Common fault handling
Leakage: Tighten the joint or replace the air nozzle; if the rubber
is damaged, it needs to be replaced as a whole.
Insufficient support: Check whether the air pressure is too low or
there is a slow leak.
Abnormal noise: Check whether there is interference with
surrounding components or breakage of the internal cord layer.
