AM-SA85-000 Schneider Relay Module

AM-S685-000 is a high-performance fiber optic network module launched by Schneider Electric, designed specifically for industrial automation systems. It has logically independent dual bus electrical interfaces and supports electrical interface backup or single device access to dual redundant bus systems. It can connect two sections of Profibus DP bus through point-to-point network or use dual optical port chain network to achieve multi segment Profibus DP bus connection (supporting up to 200 network segments). This module adopts dual optical ports to achieve dual fiber ring network redundancy function, which can rebuild network links within 10ms in case of fiber failure, ensuring communication self-healing. Its proprietary ring network protocol Ci ring can quickly form and remove rings without setting a root node, and its plug and play feature greatly simplifies the installation and debugging process. This module supports multiple communication rates ranging from 9.6kBit/s to 12MBit/s, with 4000V lightning protection, 1.5A overcurrent protection, and 600W surge protection functions. The fiber optic interface supports multiple types of SC/FC/ST, with a transmission distance of up to 2Km for multimode and up to 20Km for single-mode. The signal delay (optical port) is ≤ 1.6us/node, making it suitable for building highly reliable industrial fiber optic communication networks.
