• Compression Phase: The trapped fluid is pressurized as the pump’s moving parts reduce the chamber volume, forcing the fluid into the hydraulic system.

• Discharge Phase: The high-pressure fluid is delivered to control valves, cylinders, or motors to perform mechanical work.

Common types of hydraulic pumps used in excavators include:
