What are the types of polysilicon? Polycrystalline silicon is primarily divided into two types: precision single crystal silicon and multicrystalline silicon.

1. Precision Single Crystal Silicon:

Precision single crystal silicon refers to single crystal silicon material grown using the Czochralski or float-zone methods. It features very high crystal quality, low intracrystalline impurities, a uniform structure, and excellent electrical properties, making it widely used in solar cells, integrated circuits, and other microelectronic devices. Due to its high cost, its application is primarily in high-value-added applications.

2. Polycrystalline Silicon:

Polycrystalline silicon is a polycrystalline silicon material grown using vapor-phase mixing or other methods. Composed of many small single crystal particles, its crystal quality is slightly inferior to precision single crystal silicon, and it contains more grain boundary and intracrystalline impurities. Due to its low production cost, polycrystalline silicon is widely used in photovoltaics, semiconductors, solar photovoltaics, and other fields.
