Description of 81642A

The Agilent 81642A tunable laser covers the C- and L- Band. It is optimized for testing optical amplifiers at high stimulus power, and passive components.

This Agilent ''A'' Tunable Laser Source has been replaced by 81642B but can be upgraded.

The 81642A works in both DWDM bands (C- and L-Band). It has continuous sweep through full wavelength range, high power optical output for optical amplifier test, built-in real-time wavelength meter, mode-hop free tuning over full wavelength range, and both optical outputs are equipped with Panda type polarization maintaining fiber.

Keysight's 81940A high power compact tunable lasers enables optical device characterization at high power levels and measurement of nonlinear effects. It's improves the testing of all types of optical amplifiers and other active components as well as broadband passive optical components. As single slot plug-in modules for Keysight's 8163A/B, 8164A/B and 8166A/B mainframes, they are a flexible and cost effective stimulus for single channel and DWDM test applications. Each module covers a total wavelength range of 110 nm in the C+L-band.
