Aluminum-zinc Plated, A Multi-functional Alloy Material Integrating
Corrosion Resistance, Heat Resistance And Economy.
Strong Corrosion Resistance
The excellent corrosion resistance of aluminum-zinc plated steel
sheets can be called their "trump card" feature. Among them,
aluminum plays a crucial protective role. When zinc is worn for
various reasons during use, aluminum will quickly react with oxygen
in the air to form a dense and stable aluminum oxide film. This
aluminum oxide film is like putting a strong "armor" on the steel
sheet, which can effectively prevent corrosive substances from
further eroding the inside of the steel sheet and provide it with
long-lasting and reliable protection. Data shows that in salt spray
tests, ordinary galvanized sheets start to show red rust in about
500 hours, while aluminum-zinc plated sheets can last for more than
1500 hours, with a significantly improved corrosion resistance.
Moreover, at the cut, the corrosion spread rate of aluminum-zinc
plated sheets is 70% slower than that of galvanized sheets, fully
demonstrating their strong corrosion resistance in complex
environments.
Good Heat Resistance
Aluminum-zinc alloy steel sheets have excellent heat resistance and
can withstand high temperatures of more than 300 degrees Celsius.
When continuously exposed to an environment of 315°C, the surface
of the aluminum-zinc plated sheet will only slightly discolor,
while the galvanized layer has already failed at this temperature.
With this characteristic, aluminum-zinc plated sheets perform well
in many high-temperature application scenarios, such as chimney
pipes, ovens, illuminators, and daylight lamp shades. In
high-temperature equipment in industrial production and smoke
exhaust pipes of thermal power stations, aluminum-zinc plated
sheets can play a reliable role, ensuring the normal operation and
service life of the equipment in high-temperature environments.
High Heat Reflectivity
Aluminum-zinc plated steel sheets have an extremely high heat
reflectivity, which is twice that of galvanized steel sheets. This
characteristic makes it an ideal thermal insulation material,
playing an important role in construction, industrial equipment and
other fields. In the construction field, applying aluminum-zinc
plated sheets to roofs or exterior walls can effectively reflect
solar radiant heat, reduce the temperature inside the building,
reduce the energy consumption of air conditioners and other
refrigeration equipment, and achieve the effect of energy
conservation and emission reduction. In some industrial places with
high thermal insulation requirements, such as high-temperature
workshops and cold storages, the use of aluminum-zinc plated sheets
can also significantly improve energy utilization efficiency and
improve the working environment.
Production Process: Strict Control at Every Level to Create Quality
Modern aluminum-zinc plating technology adopts advanced continuous
hot-dip plating technology. During the production process, the
steel sheet passes through the molten alloy tank at a certain
speed, and under precise temperature control, the alloy evenly
covers the surface of the steel sheet to form a dense coating. The
entire production process includes multiple key links. In the
pre-treatment section, electrolytic degreasing and pickling
processes are used to completely remove oil stains, oxide layers
and other impurities on the surface of the steel sheet, ensuring
the surface of the steel sheet is clean and laying a good
foundation for the subsequent aluminum-zinc plating process. The
steel sheet enters the annealing furnace, where a hydrogen-nitrogen
mixed gas is introduced into the furnace to heat and cool the strip
steel, improving the organizational structure and performance of
the steel. The temperature of the plating solution tank is
stabilized at 600±3°C to ensure that the alloy is in the best
molten state and ensure the quality and uniformity of the coating.
The air knife system blows off excess plating solution at a certain
pressure to precisely control the thickness of the coating and
ensure uniform thickness of the coating. After multiple strict
processes and quality inspections, high-performance aluminum-zinc
plated steel sheets are finally produced.
Application Fields: Widely Used and Performing Brilliantly
Construction Field
Aluminum-zinc plated sheets are widely used in the construction
field. In the construction of roofs and walls, their excellent
weather resistance and corrosion resistance can effectively resist
the erosion of natural environments such as wind, sun, and rain,
ensuring the structural safety and appearance beauty of the
building. For example, the curtain wall support system of the
Shanghai Tower uses aluminum-zinc plated materials with special
coatings, which not only meets the building's requirements for
strength and durability but also shows unique architectural
aesthetic effects. Aluminum-zinc plated sheets can also be used in
the construction of garages, sound insulation walls, pipelines, and
prefabricated houses, providing diversified choices for the
construction industry. Its good fire resistance and sound and
thermal insulation effects can effectively improve the overall
performance of the building and create a more comfortable and safe
living and working environment for users.
Automotive Field
In automobile manufacturing, aluminum-zinc plated sheets have
become ideal materials for automobile parts manufacturing due to
their characteristics of high strength, light weight, and easy
forming. It can be used to make automobile mufflers, exhaust pipes,
wiper accessories, fuel tanks, truck boxes and other components.
Automobile mufflers and exhaust pipes need to withstand high
temperature and corrosive environments, and the heat resistance and
corrosion resistance of aluminum-zinc plated sheets just meet this
demand, ensuring that these components can operate stably for a
long time under harsh conditions. In today's pursuit of automobile
lightweight to improve fuel economy, the lightweight characteristic
of aluminum-zinc plated sheets also provides space for automobile
manufacturers to optimize designs, helping to reduce the weight of
the whole vehicle, improve energy utilization efficiency, and at
the same time, not affect the safety performance of the automobile.
Home Appliance Field
Aluminum-zinc plated sheets are also widely used in home
appliances. Refrigerator back panels, gas stoves, air conditioners,
electronic microwave ovens, LCD frames, CRT explosion-proof belts,
LED backlights, electrical cabinets, etc. often use aluminum-zinc
plated steel sheets. For refrigerator back panels, the corrosion
resistance of aluminum-zinc plated sheets can prevent rust caused
by humid environments and extend the service life of the
refrigerator; in the manufacturing of air conditioner outdoor
units, aluminum-zinc plated sheets can resist complex outdoor
climate conditions and ensure the normal operation of air
conditioners. Its good processability makes the appearance design
of home appliances more diversified, meeting consumers' dual needs
for beauty and practicality.
