• Material Properties: The covering is made of polycarbonate (PC) sheets, typically double or multi-walled. These sheets are lightweight, impact-resistant, and have good thermal insulation.
• Light Transmission: Offers 80-90% light transmission, which is slightly lower than glass. The light diffusion is better, reducing the risk of plant leaf burn caused by direct sunlight.
• Thermal Insulation: Superior to glass due to the air layers in multi-walled PC sheets, helping maintain a more stable internal temperature and reducing energy consumption for heating or cooling.
• Durability: Resistant to UV radiation (with proper coating) and can withstand harsh weather like hail, but has a shorter lifespan (10-15 years) compared to glass.

Ebb-and-flow seedbeds

Ebb-and-flow seedbeds are automated irrigation systems designed for efficient seedling and plant growth. They feature raised, flat beds connected to a water supply and drainage network.

The system works by periodically flooding the bed with nutrient-rich water (ebb), allowing roots to absorb moisture and nutrients, then draining the excess back into a reservoir (flow).

Humidity Regulation Systems

Humidity regulation systems maintain optimal moisture levels in greenhouses or growing spaces. They use sensors to monitor air humidity, triggering adjustments via humidifiers (to increase moisture in dry conditions) or dehumidifiers/ventilation fans (to reduce excess humidity).

For crops like tomatoes, which thrive in 60-70% humidity, these systems prevent issues like fungal growth (from high humidity) or stunted growth (from dry air).
