1. High-Temperature Resistance

• Oxidation Resistance: The chromium content forms a protective oxide layer, reducing scaling and oxidation at high temperatures.

• Mechanical Strength: Offers excellent tensile and yield strength, ensuring durability under stress.

3. Corrosion Resistance

• Moderate Corrosion Resistance: Suitable for mildly corrosive environments, though not recommended for highly acidic or sulfidic conditions.

4. Weldability

• Easier to Weld: Compared to higher-grade alloys (e.g., WP9, WP91), WP11-S requires less stringent pre- and post-weld heat treatment.
• Compatible Filler Materials: Can be welded using matching Cr-Mo electrodes (e.g., E8018-B2).
