ASME B16.5 ASTM A182 F310 Stainless Steel Weld Neck RF Flange for
Industries
Welding Neck flanges have a long tapered hub, used in high-pressure
systems. Good for reducing stress. RF is Raised Face, which is the
sealing face. The raised face helps with gasket seating. ASME B16.5
for dimensions, pressure-temperature ratings. Also, B16.47 for
larger flanges. Stainless Steel 310 (SS 310) is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel containing 24–26%
chromium and 19–22% nickel, renowned for its exceptional oxidation
resistance, superior high-temperature strength (up to
2100°F/1150°C), and durability in harsh environments.

Manufacturing process:
Forged, then machined. Heat treatment – solution annealing for F310 to maintain corrosion resistance. Surface finish on the Raised Face, maybe 125-250 µin for serrated finish.
Comparative Perspective
VS. F304/F316:
Superior high-temperature strength but less versatile in corrosive chemical environments.
VS. F321/F347:
No titanium/niobium stabilization, making F310 less prone to sensitization but unsuitable for intermittent high-low temp cycling.
VS. Alloy 800H/HT:
