Our multi-layer PPR pipe co-extrusion line is purpose-built for manufacturing three-layer glass fiber reinforced PPR (GF-PPR) pipes ranging from DN20 to DN63. Adopting a one-step co-extrusion process, two auxiliary small extruders work together to co-extrude the inner PPR layer, middle glass fiber reinforced core layer and outer PPR skin synchronously. The custom-engineered multi-layer co-extrusion die delivers reliable interlayer fusion, achieving strong permanent bonding between composite layers. Equipped with multi-zone precision temperature control, the system effectively prevents glass fiber agglomeration, streaks and interlayer delamination during production. The resulting three-layer GF-PPR pipe boasts remarkably low thermal expansion coefficient and outstanding long-term pressure resistance. The whole line is managed by PLC, supporting accurate independent adjustment of each layer’s thickness and stable continuous running. Solution

Conventional single-layer PPR pipes exhibit obvious thermal expansion when exposed to continuous high-temperature hot water, which easily causes pipe sagging, deformation and subsequent installation failures in floor heating and hot water projects. Producing multi-layer pipes via separate extrusion processes often results in weak interlayer bonding and a high scrap rate. Our 3-layer co-extrusion PPR line addresses these critical pain points with a specially optimized co-extrusion manifold die. Three extruders feed different formulations simultaneously to form an integrated monolithic pipe structure in a single extrusion pass. Independent precision control of each layer’s thickness ensures homogeneous glass fiber dispersion across the core layer. How It Works

PPR pellets and glass fiber modified compounds are dried individually and fed into three separate extruders. The main extruder provides the outer PPR protective layer; the two auxiliary co-extruders deliver the middle glass fiber reinforced core layer and inner PPR layer respectively. The multi-layer co-extrusion die merges the three molten streams and shapes a seamless integrated pipe blank. The vacuum sizing tank calibrates the pipe outer diameter to tight tolerance. Multi-stage water cooling gradually reduces internal stress inside the pipe. Servo haul-off maintains steady and uniform pulling speed. The chipless cutter cuts finished pipes to your preset length. The thickness of each individual layer can be fine-tuned independently via the PLC control system.
