Round Filter Disc Overview

Xinhaisen manufactures custom round metal mesh filter discs using photochemical etching. The openings are formed directly in a metal sheet according to a designed pattern, allowing the aperture shape, spacing and overall disc dimensions to be tailored to the application.

What Is Photochemical Etching?

Photochemical etching uses a patterned resist and controlled chemical processing to remove selected areas of a metal sheet. It can produce detailed openings without the cutting force or heat associated with some mechanical and thermal processes. The achievable dimensions depend on the material, thickness and design, so each drawing is reviewed before production.

A: Yes. Please provide a drawing showing the outside diameter, effective mesh area and any edge or mounting requirements.

Q2: Can you make different hole shapes?
A: Round holes, slots and other two-dimensional opening patterns can be discussed. Feasibility depends on the material thickness, aperture dimensions and spacing.

Q3: Is the pictured rim included in every filter disc?
A: No. The pictured product is one design example. The rim and edge structure should be defined in the customer's drawing.

Q4: What information do you need for a quotation?
A: Please send the drawing or sample, material, thickness, outside diameter, aperture size and pitch, required quantity and intended application.

Q5: Can you confirm a minimum aperture size or tolerance from the photo?
A: No. These values cannot be determined from a product photo. Our engineering team will review the drawing and confirm what can be manufactured.
