PEODUCT DESCRIPTION
Connecting and fixing structural components
This is the most fundamental function of the bolts. The pump truck
is composed of multiple large components, and the connections
between these components are all achieved through high-strength
bolts.
· Connection between the boom and the boom: The multi-section boom
of the pump truck is connected by huge pin shafts and connecting
ear plates. These ear plates and supports are fixed to the main
structure of the boom body with a large number of high-strength
bolts. They bear the weight of the boom, the weight of the
concrete, and the huge bending moments and shear forces during
movement.
· Connection between the slewing tower and the chassis: The slewing
tower (rotation mechanism) is the core component that connects the
upper vehicle (boom system) and the lower vehicle (chassis). The
bolts connecting the slewing tower and the chassis beam are one of
the most important bolts in the entire equipment. They bear the
weight and overturning moment of the entire upper vehicle part.
· Connection between the outriggers and the chassis: When the pump
truck is working, the outriggers are responsible for transferring
the weight of the entire vehicle and the impact force of concrete
pumping to the ground. The connecting bolts between the outrigger
box and the chassis beam bear huge tension and compression
alternating loads.
2. Transmitting and bearing complex loads
When the pump truck is in operation, the bolts do not merely bear
simple tensile force, but instead are subjected to extremely
complex combined loads:
· Alternating load: When pumping concrete, each pumping cycle will
cause an impact and vibration. This repetitive impact, occurring
tens to several dozen times per minute, will subject the bolts to
periodic tensile and shear forces, making them highly prone to
metal fatigue.
· Impact load: When the distribution valve changes direction or the
flow of concrete in the pipeline suddenly becomes blocked, a huge
water hammer effect occurs, generating a strong impact load that is
transmitted to the bolts through the structure.
· Moment and shear force: When the boom is fully extended, it is
like a huge cantilever beam, generating huge moments and shear
forces at the connection point. These forces are ultimately borne
by the bolt assembly.
3. Ensure the rigidity and stability of the system
The tightness of the bolt connection directly determines the
contact stiffness of the connected components and the stability of
the overall structure. If the pre-tightening force of the bolts is
insufficient, there will be slight sliding and gaps between the
connection surfaces, resulting in:
· Increased arm frame vibration: During pumping, there will be
obvious shaking at the end of the arm frame, which affects the
pouring accuracy and accelerates the fatigue damage of the
structural components.
· Abnormal noise and wear: The mutual impact between connecting
parts will generate noise and cause abnormal wear on key parts such
as the pin shaft holes and connection ear plates.
· Loss of position accuracy: For parts such as the slewing support
that require precise transmission, loose bolts will cause gaps,
affecting the accuracy of the arm frame positioning.
4. Security Assurance
This is the most crucial function of the bolts. The failure of any
critical part's bolts can lead to catastrophic consequences:
· Arm frame fracture or detachment: If the connecting bolts of the
arm frame fatigue and break, the entire arm section or part of the
arm may fall from a height.
· Vehicle overturning: If the connecting bolts between the turret
and the chassis or the legs fail, it may cause the upper part of
the vehicle to separate from the chassis or the legs to fail,
resulting in the entire machine overturning.
· Component ejection: If the connecting bolts of components such as
the hydraulic cylinder and the hopper of the pumping system break,
the high-speed moving components may fly out like a cannonball,
which is extremely dangerous.
