Known as the 'doctor of the black soil,' Sodium Humate Granule acts as a versatile solution for improving soil health and fertility. It works by reducing the activity of heavy metals in the soil through the adsorption of harmful ions. This process helps in detoxifying the soil and making it more conducive for plant growth.

1. Remediation of Acidic Soil Conditions
To effectively ameliorate acidic soils, it is recommended to apply
sodium humate powder at a rate of 1,500–3,000 kg per hectare, with
an optimal application rate of 2,250 kg/ha. For best results,
incorporate the powder into the soil approximately 10 days prior to
sowing.
2. Restoration of Alkaline and Saline-Alkali Soils
Sodium humate serves as an effective agent for neutralizing
alkaline compounds in problematic soils. It aids in the formation
of stable soil aggregates and facilitates reduction of soluble salt
content. Recommended application rates range between 750–2,250 kg
per hectare, depending on the severity of sodicity as measured by
Exchangeable Sodium Percentage (ESP).
3. Plant Growth Regulation and Stress Resistance
It assists in modulating hormonal balance within plants,
particularly through encouraging the synthesis of endogenous
hormones that support root development. Additionally, it enhances
crop resilience to environmental stressors, leading to stronger
plants and more reliable production outcomes.
(1) Basal Application
For basal fertilization, apply sodium humate at a rate of 600–900
kg per hectare. It is recommended to place the material directly in
planting holes or spread evenly along seeding furrows, followed by
irrigation to enhance dissolution and incorporation into the soil.
This method improves nutrient availability and significantly
enhances soil organic matter content, with more pronounced effects
observed under consistent moisture conditions.
(2) Top-Dressing Application
During key growth stages, a top-dressing of sodium humate at
150–600 kg per hectare can effectively supplement organic
nutrients. It can be applied either as a solution poured around the
root zone or introduced via irrigation systems. This approach is
particularly beneficial for stimulating crop development during
periods of high nutrient demand, such as flowering or rapid
vegetative growth.
(3) Seed Treatment
Seed Soaking:
Prepare a solution at a concentration of 0.05%–0.5%. Soak seeds for
5–24 hours, with specific longer durations (e.g., 24 hours)
recommended for crops such as rice and cotton. This treatment
enhances seed water absorption and increases germination rates.
Seed Coating:
For crops requiring rapid emergence, dry-mix sodium humate powder
directly with seeds before sowing. This method supports early
seedling vigor and improves uniformity during germination.
(4) Foliar Spraying
Spray Solution:
Apply a finely diluted solution at 0.05%–0.1% concentration to
avoid leaf burn. It is crucial to use fully water-soluble sodium
humate granules to prevent nozzle clogging and ensure even
coverage.
Timing and Method:
Spray 2–3 times between the flowering and early grain-filling
stages. Ensure thorough coverage of both the upper and lower leaf
surfaces for optimal nutrient absorption. Avoid spraying under
strong sunlight or high temperatures to minimize evaporation and
maximize efficacy.
