FM200 Pipe Network Gas Fire Suppression System
Product Introduction:
Heptafluoropropane (HFC-227ea, FM-200) is a colorless, odorless,
non-conductive gas with no secondary pollution. It is clean,
low-toxic, has good electrical insulation properties, and has high
fire extinguishing efficiency. In particular, it does not damage
the ozone layer and has a relatively short residual time in the
atmosphere. Its environmental performance is significantly better
than that of halons. It is a clean gas fire extinguishing agent
that has been relatively successfully researched and developed so
far, and is considered to be the most ideal product to replace
halons 1301 and 1211.
The HFC-227ea automatic fire extinguishing system is a modern,

They can also be used in production fire-hazardous areas such as
paint lines, electrical appliance burn-in rooms, rolling mills,
printing presses, oil switches, oil-immersed transformers, dipping
tanks, melting tanks, large generators, drying equipment,
pulverized coal silos in cement production processes, and ship
engine rooms and cargo holds.
System Classification:
① Unit-Based System
This refers to a fire extinguishing system in which a single fire
extinguishing agent storage device protects a single protected
area. This system is suitable only for locations with specific
requirements for a single, independent protected area.
② Combined Distributed System
This refers to a fire extinguishing system in which a single fire
extinguishing agent storage device protects multiple protected
areas. This system is suitable for locations where the protected
areas are closely spaced, providing comprehensive protection for
the entire project.
When designing and calculating this type of system, the fire
extinguishing agent consumption is calculated based on the agent
consumption for the largest protected area, and the maximum number
of protected areas shall not exceed eight.

Structure and parameters of main components of the system:
Fire Extinguishing Agent Cylinder Set
1) Purpose: Used to store HFC-227ea fire extinguishing agent, with
functions such as sealing, releasing, refilling, overpressure
relief, and pressure display.
2) Structure: Consists of a container valve, siphon tube, and
storage container. The storage container is a refillable, red
epoxy-painted, welded steel container. The container valve consists
of a valve body, actuating mechanism, a piston, a pressure
indicator, and a pressure relief device. After connecting to the
siphon tube, it is installed on the storage container's opening.
The container valve can be opened pneumatically or manually to
release the fire extinguishing agent.
Pilot Gas Cylinder Assembly
1) Purpose: Used to store priming gas (high-pressure nitrogen), for
electric or manual activation. Release of priming gas opens the
selector valve and the container valve of the fire extinguishing
agent cylinder assembly. It features functions such as sealing,
releasing, refilling, low-pressure relief, and pressure display.
2) Structure: Consists of a priming container valve and a priming
gas storage container. The priming container valve is made of
copper alloy, with stainless steel blades and diaphragms. The
storage container is a refillable seamless steel container. This
device features a compact structure, reliable operation, and low
drive current.
Container Valve
The container valve is installed on a fire extinguisher storage
bottle to seal the fire extinguishing agent within. When a fire
breaks out, the priming gas opens the container valve, releasing
the fire extinguishing agent to extinguish the flames. In an
emergency, the handle can be flipped to open the valve to
extinguish the fire.
Selector Valve
Used in a combined distribution system. One end is connected to the
manifold and the other end is connected to the protected area
piping network. Normally closed, it can be opened pneumatically or
manually. When the system is activated, a solenoid actuator
releases priming gas, sequentially opening the selector valves and
extinguishing agent storage device container valves corresponding
to the protected area where the fire has occurred, releasing the
extinguishing agent to extinguish the fire.
Liquid Check Valve
1) Application: Installed between the connecting pipe and the
manifold of the fire extinguishing flow line to prevent the
backflow of fire extinguishing agent from the manifold to the
storage device.
2) Structure: Consists of a valve body, valve core, and valve seat.
The valve body is made of copper alloy.
Gas Check Valve
1) Purpose:Installed on the starting gas line to control the
direction of the starting gas flow.
2) Structure:Composed of a valve body, valve core, and spring. The
valve body is made of copper alloy.
Manifold Safety Relief Device
Installed on the manifold, this valve automatically ruptures the
safety diaphragm when the system is over-pressurized, thereby
protecting the system.
Signal Feedback Device
1) Purpose:Installed on the main pipe leading to the protected
area, it transmits a signal to the fire extinguishing controller
after the extinguishing agent is released. The fire extinguishing
controller then illuminates the door light and issues a linkage
signal.
2) Structure:Composed of a base, housing, locking cap, signal lead,
piston, and microswitch. The housing and piston are made of copper
alloy.
Nozzle
1) Application: Installed at the end of the fire extinguishing
system pipe network, it is used to evenly atomize and spray the
fire extinguishing agent according to design requirements.
Specifications are selected based on final calculation results.
2) Structure: The structure is optimized to fully and evenly
atomize the fire extinguishing agent. Made of copper alloy.
High-Pressure Hose
Purpose: Used to connect the container valve to the fire
extinguishing agent flow check valve, creating a flexible structure
that facilitates bottle installation and removal.
Application Requirements: Avoid forming sharp angles when bending.
