What is ADSS Cable
ADSS (All Dielectric Self Supporting) fiber optic cable is a non
metallic design for aerial installation on utility poles and
transmission lines It can be installed safely in high voltage areas
without grounding and provides reliable self support without
messenger wires This makes it a cost effective alternative to OPGW
and OPAC
Structure and Design
The cable uses stranded loose tube technology with fibers protected
by water blocking gel A central FRP strength member provides core
stability while layers of aramid yarn deliver high tensile strength
The outer jacket is available in PE or AT depending on voltage and
installation conditions
