Tailored for the two popular Porsche SUV fuel models, with clear
compatibility information for easy reference:
Porsche Macan: Corresponding to chassis code 92A, covering
production years 2014–2024. Specifically compatible versions
include the Base Model (2.0T), Macan T (2.0T), Macan S (2.9T),
Macan GTS (2.9T), and Macan Turbo (2.9T) — all equipped with petrol
turbocharged engines.
Porsche Cayenne: Corresponding to chassis code 970, with production
years 2010–2017. Compatible versions include the Base Model (3.0T),
Cayenne S (4.8L), Cayenne Turbo (4.8T), and Cayenne Diesel (3.0T),
covering both petrol and diesel engine types.
Important Note: This exhaust pipe is not compatible with the
all-electric Macan (based on the PPE platform) or the
3rd-generation Cayenne (2018 and later, chassis code 9YA). To avoid
incorrect purchase, it is recommended to verify compatibility by
entering the vehicle’s VIN code in the Porsche EPC system for
secondary confirmation.
Core Functions: Safeguard Exhaust Efficiency and Engine
Performance
1.Efficient Exhaust Flow & Backpressure Reduction:
Adopts a 304 stainless steel equal-diameter streamlined design with
a pipe diameter of 55mm, reducing airflow resistance by 15%. This
effectively prevents power loss (approximately 3–5 horsepower)
caused by excessive exhaust backpressure. Meanwhile, it is adapted
to the longitudinal engine layout, with the bend angle optimized to
120°, allowing rapid discharge of exhaust gas from
large-displacement engines such as 2.9T and 4.8T. This enhances
power response sensitivity during high-load scenarios like highway
overtaking.
2.Pressure Balance & Condensate Drainage:
The pipe integrates a micro-perforated pressure balance structure,
which automatically adjusts the pressure inside the exhaust system
(normal operating pressure range: 0.1–0.3bar). Even during sudden
acceleration, it prevents seal failure at connections due to sudden
pressure surges. A condensate drainage groove is reserved at the
bottom, making it particularly suitable for diesel models like the
Cayenne Diesel — condensate produced by diesel engine combustion
can be drained through the groove, reducing the risk of internal
pipe corrosion and extending service life by 30%.
3.High-Temperature Resistance & Corrosion Protection:
Constructed from 304 stainless steel, it has a high-temperature
resistance limit of 650°C, easily withstanding the high-temperature
exhaust gas (approximately 600°C) at the exhaust manifold outlet of
turbocharged models. Compared with ordinary carbon steel pipes, its
oxidation resistance is improved by 40%. The surface undergoes
passivation treatment, which resists corrosion from rain, snow, and
road deicing agents, making it suitable for use in cold and salty
regions such as North America and Northern Europe.
On-Vehicle Application: The "Key Connection Node" of the Exhaust
System
Installation Location & Mounting Method
For Macan models: The pipe is installed at the rear of the engine
compartment. One end connects to the exhaust manifold via a flange
(with a conical seal seat), and the other end is suspended under
the vehicle body by rubber shock absorbers, extending to the
mid-section catalytic converter. The pipe height from the ground is
approximately 220mm, meeting the ground clearance requirements for
urban road use.
For Cayenne models: The pipe is located under the left longitudinal
beam of the chassis, fixed by 5 rubber shock absorbers. It can
absorb pipe displacement caused by engine vibration (maximum
displacement: ±5mm).
Synergy with Surrounding Components
One end of the pipe connects to the exhaust manifold, and the other
end connects to the catalytic converter or Diesel Particulate
Filter (DPF). A mounting boss for the oxygen sensor is reserved in
the middle section, which provides exhaust gas concentration data
to the Engine Control Unit (ECU), helping optimize fuel injection
volume and reduce emission errors (error can be controlled within
±0.5ms).
Replacement Indicators
It is recommended to inspect the pipe after the vehicle has
traveled 80,000 kilometers or been used for 6 years. If there is
more than 20% surface corrosion, abnormal noise at idle, or the
engine fault light is on, the pipe should be replaced promptly to
avoid damaging subsequent components such as the catalytic
converter.
