What is the Flash Point?

Flash Point is the lowest temperature, as measured in the prescribed manner, of the test portion corrected to a barometric pressure of 101,3 kPa, at which application of an ignition source causes the vapour of the test portion to ignite momentarily and the flame to propagate across the surface of the liquid under the specified conditions of test.

BGD 240 Automatic Flash Point Tester is designed according to rapid equilibrium closed cup method. It can rapidly test flash point for paints, including water-borne paints, varnishes, binders for paints and varnishes adhesives, solvents, petroleum, and related products.

Characters

1. Can detect the flash point at a specific temperature between -35 ℃ and 105 ℃ (BGD 240/1)or RT to 300 ℃(BGD 240/2)at average rate heating.

2. All functions are achieved through touch screen and digital display.

3. Built in two test procedures:rapid balanced mode and average rate heating mode

4. Various parameters, such as the heating mode, time, temperature and the average rate heating can be set by the user themselves.

5. Planning board action, the decline of the ignition, the detection of flash point is done automatically.

6. The gas ignition sources can be provided directly by the laboratory, you can also use the portable butane gas tank.

7. Built-in cooling module is used to shorten the cooling time between the two tests.
