ASTM B167 Inconel 600 / UNS N06600 Nickel Alloy Seamless Tube

Inconel 600's value comes from its excellent combination of properties:

• High-Temperature Resistance: Excellent mechanical strength and resistance to oxidation (scaling) in air at temperatures up to 1175°C (2150°F).

• Corrosion Resistance: Outstanding resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments, including:

  • Organic and inorganic acids

  • Chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking (better than many stainless steels)

  • Caustic environments (e.g., sodium hydroxide, making it a prime choice for caustic evaporators)

  • Water corrosion: Very resistant to pure and high-purity water.

• Strength & Fabrication: Good mechanical properties over a wide temperature range and is readily formable and weldable using standard techniques.

• Non-Magnetic: Remains non-magnetic from cryogenic temperatures up to its Curie point.
