Air Spring Applications in Industrial Washing Machines
When an industrial washing machine is operating, especially during the high-speed spin cycle, it generates enormous, unbalanced centrifugal forces, causing severe vibration. If left uncontrolled, this vibration can:
1. Damage the equipment and the building structure.
2. Generate loud noise.
3. Be transmitted to the floor or ground, impacting other equipment and even the building's safety.
In industrial washing machines, four or more air springs are typically installed between the base and foundation of the washing machine, completely suspending the entire washing tub and drive system.
When the spin cycle starts, the enormous unbalanced forces attempt to rock the washing machine, acting on the air springs.
Air springs absorb and cushion this energy through their own compression and expansion, with only a very small portion of the vibration being transmitted through the soft airbags.
