The engine turbocharger is an air compressor that increases the intake air volume bycompressing air, thereby increasing the output power of the engine. The turbochargeruses the inertial momentum of the exhaust gas discharged from the engine to drive theturbine in the turbine chamber, and the turbine drives the coaxial impeller, whichpresses the air sent by the air filter pipe to pressurize it into the cylinder. When theengine speed increases, the exhaust gas discharge speed and the turbine speed alsoincrease synchronously, and the impeller compresses more air into the cylinder. Thepressure and density of the air increase to burn more fuel. increase the amount of fueland adjust the engine speed accordingly. The output power of the engine can beincreased.
The structural principle of the turbocharger is: the exhaust gas discharged from theengine drives the pump wheel, the pump wheel drives the turbine to rotate, and theturbine rotates to pressurize the intake system. The supercharger is installed on theexhaust side of the engine, so the working temperature of the supercharger is veryhigh, and the speed of the rotor is very high when the supercharger is working, whichcan reach hundreds of thousands of revolutions per minute.
