• Function

1.Overpressure protection: The relief valve remains normally closed during the normal operation of the hydraulic system. When the pressure in the system, due to factors such as a sudden increase in load or a malfunction of a component, rises to the preset opening pressure of the relief valve, the valve will open. It allows the hydraulic oil to flow back to the oil tank or a low-pressure area, thereby reducing the system pressure and preventing the pressure from continuing to rise.

2.Pressure control: In addition to serving as a safety valve to prevent overpressure, the Hitachi 4289603 relief valve can also be used as a pressure control valve to maintain the pressure in the entire hydraulic system or a partial system within a specific level or range. For example, it can be used in an inlet and outlet throttling speed control circuit to relieve flow, acting as a constant pressure valve at this time; it can also generate back pressure on the return oil to improve the motion stability of the actuator, and in this case, it is often referred to as a back pressure valve.
