• Function

1.Motion Conversion
Its primary role is converting the reciproing (up-and-down) motion of pistons into rotational motion. During combustion, high-pressure gases push pistons downward, transferring force through connecting rods to the crankshaft’s journals. This linear motion is translated into a continuous rotational force, which drives the engine’s output.

2.Power Transmission
The crankshaft distributes rotational power to essential systems:
At its rear, it connects to a flywheel, which transfers power to the transmission, ultimately driving the equipment’s wheels or tracks.
At its front, it often drives auxiliary components via pulleys or gears, such as the water pump, alternator, fuel injection pump, and timing chain/belt (to synchronize valve operation with piston movement).
