Uses:

Isobornyl methacrylate is an organic polymerization monomer with high chemical reactivity. It can be used in the industrial preparation of heat-resistant organic sheets, optical fibers, adhesives, silk-screen ink carriers, modified powder coatings, clean coatings, high-solid low-viscosity coatings, etc. The substance can also be used as an active diluent and a toughness-modifying monomer for resins to improve the dispersion of resins on pigments. In the acrylic resin formula, the substance can effectively reduce the viscosity of the polymer solution. Among various cyclic monomers, isobornyl methacrylate has a significant effect in reducing the viscosity. (Generally, the effect will be more obvious when the dosage is about 5% to 10%). Isobornyl methacrylate is suitable for the manufacture of high-Tg thermoplastic acrylic resins. The product has high hardness, high alcohol resistance and heat resistance.
