Dome Splice closure is a small size dome type fiber optic splice closure. It is suitable for fiber optic cable splicing and protection. It can be aerial hanged, wall-mounting and pole mounted application.The closure is made of high quality ABS. The closure and the foundation are sealed with silicon gum material which fixes tightly by hoop. And the sealing of cables use Shrinkable tube. Their primary purpose is to protect the delicate fiber splices and excess fiber (slack) from environmental hazards like moisture, dust, mechanical shock, and temperature fluctuations, ensuring long-term reliability and signal integrity.

Features:

1.1 Splice Trays (Organizers): Stackable plastic trays that hold and protect fusion splices. They have channels to secure the spliced fibers and maintain the bend radius.

1.2 Fiber Storage: Spools or compartments to safely coil and store the excess fiber length (slack) from the cable and splices.

1.3 Strength Member Attachment: A secure point (often a clamp or tie) to anchor the cable's strength members (e.g., aramid yarn, fiberglass rod). This ensures that any tensile force on the cable is transferred to the closure shell, not the fragile fibers.

1.4 Grounding Kit: For closures with metallic armored cables, a provision to properly ground the armor for safety.

1.5 Sealing Kit: Includes all the necessary grommets, gels, and clamps to seal the specific number and type of cables entering the closure.

Application:

2.1 Environmental Protection: Creates a hermetic or weather-tight seal using gaskets, gels, or heat shrink to prevent water and humidity ingress, which can cause signal attenuation and fiber damage.

2.2 Mechanical Protection: Shields fragile splices and fibers from physical damage during handling, excavation, or from animals.

2.3 Splicing Platform: Provides an organized, stable internal structure (splice trays) to perform and house fusion or mechanical splices.

2.4 Fiber Management: Allows for the safe storage of splice points and excess fiber cable (slack) without violating the minimum bend radius, which would cause signal loss.

2.5 Connection and Distribution Point: Serves as an access point for connecting feeder cables to distribution cables, often splitting a high-fiber-count cable into multiple smaller ones.
