1. Overview

2. Key Components
A standard set of tablet press tooling consists of three core parts:

· Upper Punch: Descends into the die cavity to apply compression force.
· Lower Punch: Rises to fill the die cavity, controls tablet weight, and ejects the finished tablet.
· Die: A cylindrical block containing a precisely bored cavity that defines the tablet's size and shape (round, oval, capsule, custom, etc.).

3. Materials & Manufacturing

· Primary Material: High-grade, wear-resistant tool steels (e.g., D2, D3, A2) are standard. For highly abrasive or corrosive formulations, premium materials like Carbide (Tungsten Carbide) are used for exceptional durability and lifespan.
· Key Processes: Manufacturing involves precision machining, grinding, heat treatment (hardening and tempering), and advanced surface finishing (e.g., polishing, specialized coatings like TiN - Titanium Nitride) to achieve exact tolerances, superior wear resistance, and anti-sticking properties.

4. Types of Tooling
Tooling is classified by its design and the press it fits. The dominant international standards are:

· B Tooling (BB Tooling): The most common standard for medium to large rotary presses. Distinguished by a 19.0 mm lower punch shaft diameter.
· D Tooling: A heavier-duty standard with a larger 25.4 mm lower punch shaft diameter, designed for high-tonnage presses and larger tablets.
· Euro Standard (B Tooling compatible): A widely accepted European variant with slight dimensional differences, often compatible with B tooling presses with minor adjustments.
· Custom Tooling: Engineered for unique tablet shapes (multi-tip, complex logos, break-lines) or specialized applications.

Our machine is under warranty for 12 months. Most components are free-replacement warranty,but the client needs to pay the DHL fee . Artificial and thunder strike damage is beyond the scope of the warranty. Spare parts are not in the warranty time.
