Application:

The V3230F572T rotary distributor injection pump is purpose-built for Perkins 1103C-33T and 1104C-44T mechanical-injection turbo-diesel engines (3.3 L and 4.4 L) that drive Massey Ferguson 5400-series and 6400-series tractors, Landini Rex 4-100/110 and Powerfarm 105 models, JCB 3CX backhoe loaders and 530-70 Loadall telehandlers, plus FG Wilson P13.5-6 and Pramac GSW55P silent-type generator sets. These engines produce between 55 kW and 74 kW at 2 200 r/min and are certified for EU Stage II and EPA Tier 2 emission levels, making the pump a key component for accurate fuel metering and rapid load acceptance across agricultural, construction and standby-power segments.


Technical specifications:

The pump housing is a single-piece, high-density cast-iron monobloc with integral cam ring and distributor head, centre-line mounting flange to SAE J744 size 2, pilot Ø101.6 mm, four M10 threaded holes on 146 mm PCD. Plunger diameter is 9 mm with 8.7 mm stroke, generating injection pressures up to 1 400 bar; an internal positive-displacement vane feed pump delivers 120 L/h at 400 kPa. A hydraulic automatic advance piston provides 6° crank-angle advance from 1 000 to 2 400 r/min. Drive hub accepts 12 mm Woodruff key and is dynamically balanced to ISO 1940 Grade G2.5. Static timing is 11° BTDC ± 1° with ± 3° adjustment range available via eccentric cam ring. All external seals are FKM (Viton) compound for compatibility with biodiesel blends up to B20 and arctic-grade diesel down to −40 °C.


Material & performance features:

Plunger and distributor rotor are machined from vacuum-remelted 18CrNiMo7-6 alloy steel, carburised to 0.8 mm case depth and super-finished to 0.2 µm Ra for minimal leakage and exceptional durability under cyclic pressure loading. Cam-ring lobes are induction-hardened to 58–62 HRC, while roller tappets receive a proprietary diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating that reduces boundary friction by 25 % and extends fatigue resistance. A lightweight aluminium governor sleeve with PTFE-impregnated bore eliminates stick-slip and enables idle-speed recovery within 3 % of set point. The pump head incorporates laser-welded high-pressure channels to prevent internal pressure loss, and the electromagnetic fuel-stop solenoid is encapsulated in a glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide housing rated IP67 for dust and moisture protection. A torsional vibration damper integral to the drive hub limits peak twist to <0.15°, reducing gear-train noise and extending both pump and engine service life.
