The Spiral Sand Washer operates through a synergistic process of agitation,
settling and material transportation. As the sand-cement slurry
enters the inclined trough, the rotating spiral blades agitate the mixture, utilizing gravity to settle the
heavier sand particles to the bottom of the trough. Lighter
impurities (silt, clay, debris) remain in suspension and are washed
away by the continuous flow of water, ensuring separation. The
rotating spiral also acts as a conveyor, lifting the settled sand up the slope and
discharging excess water through the tank holes. This dual action
cleans the sand and reduces its moisture content, delivering
dewatered, unadulterated material at the discharge end for
downstream processing.
Construction Aggregate Production: Used in sand/gravel plants to
purify raw quarry material for concrete, asphalt or mortar.
Removal of silt/clay to meet <5% penalty standards ensures
durable building materials with optimum grade and moisture control.
Mineral Processing and Ore Refining: Critical in mines (e.g. iron,
copper) to wash crushed ore to separate waste rock (veins).
