It is therefore found in Class-6/7 haulers, school buses, 150-300 kVA generator sets, wheel loaders, motor graders and farm tractors that use the same cylinder-head machining.

Vacuum-sintered Co-Cr-Mo steel (≥50 HRC) with 30 % Cr, 1.2 % Mo, 0.8 % V; plasma-nitrided to 0.05 mm depth for 950 HV surface hardness while the core remains tough enough to absorb valve impact. A 0.4 µm Ra finish beds in within 15 min, and the alloy resists low-sulphur diesel, biodiesel and 20 % HVO, giving >12 000 h service before re-cut.
