ASTM D5481 Multicell Capillary Viscometer for 150℃ HTHS Apparent Viscosity with Computer Controlling

General Introduction

This HTHS Dynamic Viscosity Tester determines the high-temperature high-shear (HTHS) apparent viscosity of engine oils using a multi-capillary viscometer equipped with pressure measurement, temperature measurement and timing devices, under the conditions of 150 ℃ and a wall apparent shear rate of 1.4*106 s-1.
It is applicable to engine oils, and the apparent viscosity is directly measured using a calibration curve established with Newtonian calibration oils having an apparent viscosity of 1.5 mPa·s to 5.0 mPa·s at 150 ℃.
This precision statement applies only to engine oils with an apparent viscosity of 1.45 mPa·s to 5.05 mPa·s at 150 ℃.
