Meter
The HQ-LUXZ series intelligent swirling vortex gas flow meter
adopts advanced microprocessor technology, offering advantages such
as powerful functions, wide flow range, simple operation and
maintenance, and convenient installation and use. Its main
technical indicators reach the advanced level of similar products
abroad. It can be widely used for metering various gases in
industries such as petroleum, chemical, power, metallurgy, and
coal.

products has been inspected and approved by the National
Explosion-Proof Safety Supervision Station for Instruments and
Meters (NEPSI), and complies with the relevant provisions of
national standards GB3836.1-2000 and GB3836.2-2000. The
explosion-proof marking for the flameproof type is Exd Ⅱ Bt4.
II. Structure and Working Principle of HQ-LUXZ Series Intelligent Swirl Gas Flowmeter

2. Flowmeter Working Principle (See Figure 2)
When the fluid passes through the helical vortex generator, the
fluid is forced to rotate violently around the center of the vortex
generator, forming a vortex flow. The vortex flow accelerates and
its intensity increases as it passes through the constricted
section in the flow direction. When the vortex flow enters the
diffusion section, under the action of the flow guide's backflow,
this vortex generates a secondary rotation. The frequency of the
secondary vortex is directly proportional to the flow rate. When
the flowmeter is properly designed, the vortex frequency is
linearly related to the flow rate over a wide range of flow rates.
This frequency is detected by a piezoelectric sensor and processed
by a flow integrator. The instantaneous flow rate and cumulative
total flow are displayed, and a corresponding 4-20mA current signal
is transmitted as output.

3. Working Principle of the Flow Totalizer (See Figure 3)
The principle block diagram of the flow totalizer is shown in
Figure 3. The CPU receives pulse signals from the preamplifier and
pressure and temperature signals obtained through the A/D
converter. Through calculations, it ultimately determines the
instantaneous flow rate, cumulative flow rate, temperature, and
pressure values. These parameters are simultaneously displayed on
the LCD. The flow display can show both standard flow rate and
actual flow rate. The three function keys on the instrument,
<SET>, <INC>, and <SHT>, can be used to set
internal parameters.

3. Flow Meter Installation
(1) The flow meter should be installed according to the flow
direction indicator.
(2) The flow meter can be installed horizontally, vertically, or at
any angle.
(3) Requirements for upstream and downstream straight pipe sections
are shown in Figure 5.

(4) Unless the measured medium contains large particles or long
fibrous impurities, a filter is generally not required.
(5) The flow meter should not be subjected to strong external
magnetic field interference or strong mechanical vibrations.
(6) The flow meter must be reliably grounded.
V. Selection of HQ-LUXZ Series Intelligent Swirl Gas Flow Meters
1. When selecting a flow meter, users should choose the appropriate
model and specifications based on the nominal pipe pressure,
maximum medium pressure, medium temperature, medium composition,
flow range, and signal output requirements.
2. To optimize the flow meter's performance, the operating range
should ideally be between 20% and 80% of the maximum flow rate.
3. The standard output configuration of the flow meter is a working
condition pulse signal output (three-wire system). If other output
functions are required, please specify them when ordering.
