1. Product Introduction
The winding process is traditionally one of the most labor-dependent stages: watching, changing rolls, weighing, packaging—time-consuming and labor-intensive. Our automatic winder aims to completely liberate this part of the workforce. It integrates automatic length counting, stop at preset length/weight, pneumatic shaft locking, and easy roll removal. Operators only need to preset the roll length or weight on the touch screen and load empty paper cores; the equipment will automatically complete winding, stop precisely upon reaching the set value, and release the mandrel. The remaining task is simply removing the full roll and applying protective film or placing it in a carton. This thoughtful "semi-automation" design, while controlling costs, frees personnel from repetitive, monotonous monitoring tasks, allowing them to focus on quality inspection and higher-value work.

2. Main Specifications

• Automatic Length Counting & Stop Control: High-precision measuring wheel coupled with a rotary encoder measures length in real-time. Upon reaching the preset length, the winding shaft automatically decelerates and stops at a position convenient for roll removal.

• Pneumatic Locking & Release: The winding mandrel uses a pneumatic chuck or expanding shaft design; pressing a button automatically locks the paper core or releases the full roll, saving effort and avoiding the hassle and danger of traditional bolt fixation.

• Human-Machine Interface Prompt: The touch screen clearly displays current length, target value, winding tension, etc. A pre-alarm can be set to alert the operator to prepare for roll removal.

• Roll Handling Assistance: The equipment structure considers ergonomics with appropriate roll removal height. Optional simple hydraulic lift tables or trolleys further reduce labor intensity.

  • A1: Our length counting system uses a high-precision encoder mechanically coupled to a measuring wheel. The wheel surface is covered with polyurethane for increased friction and slip prevention, paired with a one-way bearing to ensure forward-only motion. System accuracy reaches ±0.1%. For example, setting 1000 meters results in an actual wound length between 999 and 1001 meters. The stop control employs pre-deceleration and position loop control to ensure accurate stopping position. Years of practical application show its length control fully meets commercial packaging accuracy requirements.

• Q2: Could the pneumatically locked mandrel fling the paper core off during high-speed winding?

  • A2: Absolutely not. When inflated, the pneumatic expanding shaft's rubber or leaf segments expand uniformly outward, generating immense static friction with the paper core's inner wall. This gripping force far exceeds the torsional force generated by strap tension during winding. Moreover, this grip applies 360-degree uniform force, unlike traditional clamping plates that can deform the core or create localized pressure points. Our design undergoes rigorous calculation and testing with a very high safety factor, making it a standard and reliable solution for high-speed automatic winding.
