1. Multi-Channel Video Input Matrix and Signal Conditioning: The PCBA integrates a dense array of video receiver chips (HDMI, SDI, DisplayPort) to accept multiple simultaneous inputs. It includes circuitry for equalization, re-clocking, and format conversion to normalize all incoming signals for processing.

2. Core Video Processing FPGA or ASIC: At its heart, the board features a high-performance Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) or Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC). This chip performs the real-time video mixing, scaling, layering, chroma keying (green screen), and transition effects (cuts, fades, wipes) at the hardware level with ultra-low latency.

3. Frame Synchronizer and Timing Processor: Incorporates frame buffer memory and precise timing controllers to synchronize all input signals, which may have different resolutions and refresh rates, to a common clock. This is critical for preventing glitches, tears, or black frames during switches.

4. Audio Follow Video Embedding/De-embedding: Includes audio processing chips to extract embedded audio from video inputs, manage audio levels, and then re-embed the corresponding audio track into the program output signal, ensuring perfect lip-sync and audio-video alignment.

Multi-Format Output Controllers and Scalers: Features dedicated output controllers and hardware scalers to drive the main program output, auxiliary/preview outputs, and streaming encoder feed simultaneously, often at different resolutions and formats as required by various displays and destinations.
