Replace John Crane 2100

Yes. Our design fully conforms to DIN 24960 (EN 12756) and ISO 3069. This means that the installed height (L1k) and the stationary seat fit tolerances are a 1:1 match with the original 2100 series, delivering a "zero-error" replacement.

Material selection depends on your pumped media. To demonstrate trustworthiness, we recommend:

• Municipal water / HVAC systems: Choose EPDM, which offers excellent hot water resistance.
• Oily wastewater / general industrial service: Choose NBR (nitrile) for good oil resistance.
• Aggressive / high-temperature chemical service: You must select Viton (FKM) to prevent swelling or cracking of the bellows due to chemical attack.

As with the original design, our 2100 replacement is driven by friction via the rubber bellows. Because the bellows does not slide relative to the shaft, it avoids the severe grooving or wear on the shaft surface that can occur with traditional O-ring seals. This saves you the expensive cost of replacing the pump shaft or shaft sleeve.

Thanks to the large-pitch single spring (non-clogging single spring) design, this replacement offers significantly better clogging resistance than multi-spring seals when handling sewage, pulp, or mildly viscous media. It is a classic "ruggedized" design, well suited for a wide range of harsh industrial environments.
