FM200 Direct-type Fire Detector Tube
Product Introduction:
The FM200 Automatic Fire Trace Tube is an advanced self-activating
fire detection and suppression system designed for enclosed spaces
and critical equipment. Using the clean agent FM200 (HFC-227ea),
this system provides fast, residue-free fire protection for
electrical cabinets, server racks, control panels, and other
sensitive installations.
The system operates through a pressurised detection tube installed directly inside the protected enclosure. When exposed to heat or flame, the tube ruptures precisely at the fire source and instantly releases FM200 to suppress the fire at its earliest stage—without requiring electrical power or manual intervention.
Available in agent capacities of 2kg, 3kg, 4kg, 6kg, 9kg, and 12kg, the FM200 Fire Trace Tube operates at a working pressure of 2.5MPa, with a maximum pressure of 4.2MPa. It supports detection tube lengths from 5m to 25m and optional release tube lengths from 0.5m to 1.5m, making it suitable for a wide range of cabinet and equipment sizes.
FM200 is a colourless, odourless, non-corrosive clean agent with zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential). It causes no damage to valuable equipment and leaves no residue after discharge. The system discharges rapidly—typically within 8 seconds—providing total flooding protection and minimising fire spread.
This compact, space-saving fire suppression solution is widely used in data centres, telecom rooms, power plants, petrochemical facilities, railway signal rooms, broadcasting stations, UPS rooms, and battery cabinets. Easy to install and cost-effective, the FM200 Fire Trace Tube System offers reliable, automatic fire protection for critical assets and unattended equipment.

Key Performance Features:
1. Integrated Detection and Suppression
The fire detection tube combines fire detection, system activation,
and agent release into a single component. This eliminates the need
for separate fire alarm and detection devices, reducing costs and
installation complexity while greatly improving system reliability
and avoiding false activations.
2. Targeted Point-to-Point Suppression
This device provides full-coverage fire suppression specifically
for equipment that is already on fire, extinguishing the fire
quickly at the source. This addresses the limitations of
traditional gas fire suppression systems, which activate across
entire equipment spaces regardless of fire size, often resulting in
slow detection response and excessive agent consumption.
3. Early Detection with Flexible Installation
The fire detection tube can be routed inside equipment and
instruments that are potential fire risks, enabling the fastest
possible fire detection and point-to-point suppression of only the
affected areas. This delivers faster response times, reduced agent
consumption, lower costs, and improved environmental friendliness.
From these three key features, the FM200 Fire Trace Tube System represents a more scientifically advanced approach to fire suppression, offering improved efficiency, cost savings, and environmental performance compared to conventional fixed fire extinguishing systems, particularly traditional gas-based systems.

System Application Scope:
The FM200 automatic fire trace tube system has addressed a longstanding challenge in fire protection: effectively safeguarding high-risk spaces such as electrical equipment rooms, control cabinets, and distribution boards. This system has been widely deployed across power plants, telecommunications, broadcasting, petrochemical facilities, and railway systems, with extensive successful field experience.
1. Suitable Applications
Broadcasting Facilities: Microwave rooms, decimetre wave rooms, metre wave rooms, power distribution rooms, and UPS rooms in radio and television stations
Telecommunications: Switching exchange rooms, control rooms, and signalling transfer point rooms
Power Generation: Control rooms, electronic equipment rooms, computer rooms, relay rooms, and power distribution rooms in power plants
Cable Infrastructure: Cable intersections, high-density cable areas, and intermediate cable joints
Electrical Enclosures: Power distribution cabinets, elevator control cabinets, cable trays, and cable bridges
Specialised Equipment: Other enclosed or semi-enclosed cabinets housing critical or sensitive equipment
2. Suitable Fire Types (FM200 Filled System)
The FM200 Fire Trace Tube System is suitable for extinguishing:
Flammable gas fires where the gas source can be shut off before extinguishing
Class A, B, and C liquid fires, including molten solids such as paraffin and asphalt
Solid surface fires and deep-seated fires involving materials such as cotton, wool, and paper
Electrical fires involving energised equipment
3. Unsuitable Fire Types
The FM200 Fire Trace Tube System must NOT be used for:
Fires involving chemical products containing oxidising agents, such as nitrocellulose or gunpowder
Fires involving active metals, including potassium, sodium, magnesium, titanium, zirconium, and uranium
Fires involving metal hydrides, such as potassium hydride or sodium hydride
