The Tapered Wire Diameter Measurement System is designed for
high-precision inspection of ultra-fine wires, including medical
guidewires and other critical components. Equipped with a
high-resolution laser measurement module, the system is capable of
measuring wire diameters as small as 0.01 mm, ensuring exceptional
accuracy for demanding applications.
The system is available in both single-axis (CGT-WGI-1000) and dual-axis (CGT-WGI-2000) measurement configurations. The dual-axis version enables precise
evaluation of guidewire ovality, providing a more comprehensive
dimensional assessment beyond simple diameter measurement.
A key differentiator lies in Universal Balloon Medical’s
proprietary product fixation mechanism combined with a passive
vibration isolation platform. This design significantly reduces
measurement errors caused by micro-movements and environmental
vibrations during operation, thereby enhancing overall measurement
accuracy and repeatability.
The system features a streamlined and user-friendly front-end
software interface, allowing for intuitive operation and clear
visualization of measurement results. Each tested product is
assigned a unique identification number, with all data
automatically stored in a local database, enabling full
traceability at the individual product level.
Measurement results are presented in a clear and quantitative
manner, accurately reflecting the true diameter profile and taper
characteristics of the wire. The system demonstrates outstanding
consistency, with a standard deviation (Stdev.s) of less than
0.0005 across three repeated measurements of the same sample,
highlighting its high stability, precision, and reliability.
