Introduction

TD type belt conveyor is a common conveying machine for industries
like metallurgy, coal mining, hydropower station, and so on.
The materials that cab be conveyed include various loose bulk
materials like lump and granule with a bulk specific weight of
0.5-2.5 ton/m3, as well as packed objects.

Principle

The Belt conveyor, as a continuous mechanical handling equipment,
is mainly composed of two rollers at the two ends and the
stretched belt on the rollers. Specially, in this material
transferring device, the drive roller provides the driving force,
while
the other roller changes the conveying direction of the belt.
The drive roller is driven by an electric motor through a gear
reducer. The friction force between the roller and the belt drags
the belt forward. When the material falls from the feeding hopper
onto the belt, the belt will bring the material to the
discharging end. The drive roller of the belt conveyor is usually
mounted at the discharging end to enhance the driving force.
