High-Strength Figure 8 24 Core Aerial Fiber Optic Cable With Steel Wire Armor
Description
The optical fibers are enclosed within a loose tube crafted from durable high modulus plastic, and these tubes
are filled with a water-resistant compound. A steel wire serves as the central metallic strength member within
the core. Surrounding this strength member, the tubes and fillers are stranded to create a compact, circular
cable core. A PSP (Parallel Steel Wire) is applied around this core, and with stranded wires providing support,
the cable is encased in a polyethylene (PE) sheath to form a figure 8 structure. This design is intended for self-
supporting aerial installations.
