Description

This fiber optic cable features fibers positioned within a high modulus plastic loose tube and filled with a

water-resistant compound. A steel wire, at times encased in polyethylene for higher fiber count cables,

serves as the metallic strength member at the core. Tubes and fillers are stranded around this central st-

rength member, forming a compact circular cable core. The PSP is longitudinally applied over the core,

which is filled with compound to shield against water ingress. Finally, a PE sheath completes the cable.
