Definition and Usage

Copper rice machine is a kind of machinery used to crush the waste copper wire and separate the copper and plastic, named because the separated copper particles are shaped like rice grains, belonging to the field of environmental protection machinery. Working Principle

Crushing Stage: Using high-speed rotating gears, knives and other components, the waste wire and cable will be cut and crushed into smaller particles for subsequent separation operations. For example, through the roller crushing device inside the crusher, the waste wire and cable is roughly crushed with low rotational speed and high torque, and then the material is further crushed into finer powder through the shear crusher.

Separation Stage

Specific Gravity Sorting: Due to the relatively high density of copper and the low density of the plastic material, the use of vibration, wind or water flow and other media, so that the copper rice and plastic in the sorting area show different trajectories, so as to achieve the initial separation. Electrostatic sorting (optional): for after the specific gravity sorting there may still be a small amount of mixing, especially when dealing with particularly fine wires, electrostatic sorting equipment will give the material with a different charge, the use of copper and copper rice and wire skin conductivity and other electrical properties of the differences in the electrostatic field under the action of the electrostatic field to make them move towards different electrode direction, to further eliminate the residual plastic, to achieve a cleaner separation effect.

Classification

Dry type copper rice machine: no need to add water in the sorting process, mainly using airflow sorting machine, air shaker or electrostatic sorting and other more environmentally friendly methods for sorting. The main process is: crushing - airflow sorting - (electrostatic sorting) - dust collection, with no sewage discharge, site cleanliness and other advantages, but for some complex materials, the separation effect of cables may be limited.
