ISO17357 Pneumatic Marine Fenders 50kpa 4.5m Diameter CCS BV Certified

ISO17357 Pneumatic Marine Rubber Fender Boat Fenders CCS BV Certification

Floating pneumatic rubber fenders, also known as Yokohama fenders or Yokohama-type pneumatic fenders, are constructed from synthetic-cord-reinforced rubber sheets with compressed air inside. The internal air enables flotation on water and serves as a shock absorber between ships (ship-to-ship) or between ships and berthing structures during docking operations.

All Doowin Marine Yokohama type floating pneumatic rubber fenders are manufactured and tested to fully comply with ISO 17357 standards.

Yokohama floating pneumatic rubber fender in marine application

Available in diameters ranging from 500 mm to 4,500 mm and lengths from 500 mm to 9,000 mm, our pneumatic fenders come in sling-type configurations or with heavy-duty chain & tire net options. We also supply vertical hydropneumatic fenders for submarines and foam-filled floating fenders.

Outer Rubber

The outer rubber layer protects cord layers and inner rubber from abrasion and external forces. This specially formulated rubber compound offers superior tensile and tear resistance to withstand harsh weather conditions and demanding marine environments.

Tire Cord Layers

Reinforcement synthetic-tire-cord layers provide the structural strength needed to maintain the fender's internal air pressure under operational loads.

Inner Rubber

The inner rubber layer forms an airtight seal to contain the pressurized air within the fender.

Fender Pressure Rating

Our Pneumatic Rubber Fenders are available in two initial pressure ratings:

  • Pneumatic 50 (P50): Initial internal pressure 50kPa
  • Pneumatic 80 (P80): Initial internal pressure 80kPa
Pneumatic Fender Types

We offer two common configurations of Pneumatic Rubber Fenders:

  • Type I - Net Type: Features chain net, wire net, or fiber net protection (ideal for smaller fenders)
  • Type II - Sling Type: Includes lifting devices on each end for connection with guy chains or ropes (lighter weight, easier handling without protection net)
Pneumatic Rubber Fenders Specification

All our pneumatic rubber fenders meet ISO 17357 standard requirements for internal pressure, endurable pressure, and safety-valve setting pressure.
