Application:

The 4132A016 (also catalogued as ULPK0040 bare pump) is the mechanical diaphragm fuel lift pump that supplies Perkins 1004-4 and 1004-4T naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines (4.0 L, 4-cylinder) fitted to Massey Ferguson 6400- and 7400-series tractors, Landini Legend 105/115 row-crop machines, JCB 4CX backhoe loaders and 530-70 Loadall telehandlers, plus FG Wilson P22-6 and Pramac GSW85P skid-mounted generator sets. It mounts on the left-hand timing-gear cover and feeds the high-pressure injection pump across engine speeds from 800 r/min idle to rated 2 200 r/min.

Technical specifications:

The pump body is a cast-aluminium single-diaphragm unit with integral hand-priming lever. Nominal delivery is 110 L/h at 350 kPa and 2 000 r/min; inlet/outlet ports are 8 mm hose-barb fittings. The SAE J744 size 1 flange has two M8 threaded holes on 60 mm centres and is driven directly by the camshaft eccentric. Diaphragm diameter is 76 mm, stroke 5 mm, and the internal bypass valve limits pressure to 400 kPa. All sealing gaskets are FKM (Viton) for biodiesel compatibility up to B20 and for arctic-grade diesel down to −40 °C.

Material & performance features:

The powder-coated aluminium housing resists salt spray and stone chips; the multi-layer fabric-reinforced nitrile diaphragm is faced with PTFE for low swell and extended flex life. The actuating lever and push-rod are induction-hardened medium-carbon steel, while the internal return spring is stainless steel to prevent sag in high-humidity environments. A transparent sediment bowl with 80 µm replaceable paper element traps water and debris, and a spring-loaded priming lever allows easy manual bleeding after filter changes. Lightweight, maintenance-free sealed bearings and a low noise signature make the unit ideal for continuous-duty agricultural, construction and generator applications.
